Filly Looks to Outrun Boys in Baxter

Three year old filly Tuff Britt will look to remain undefeated at Fonner when she steps into the gate against the boys in the six furlong $10,000 Baxter Stakes Saturday afternoon.

Installed as the 6/5 favorite, Tuff Britt has not been headed yet this season at the Grand Island oval. In a short six horse field void of speed, Tuff Britt will look to take the field gate to wire for owner/trainer Ardell Sayler.

The girl is going to go and the boys are going to try and catch her if they can.

Passed Due, making his local debut in the Baxter, closed last season out with a third place in the $85,000 Crown Ambassador takes at Indiana Grand, while the steadily improving Tribal Echo looks to follow up his allowance win last out with his first stakes victory.

CF Fisher, Yes By Gold and Granny’s Pro round out the Baxter field.
