SHAKOPEE, MN – The high heat has wreaked havoc all over the region and now has affected the Northern Stars Turf Festival at Canterbury Park this evening as well as the rest of the weekend’s racing.

Tonight’s racing, which featured three stakes and two named allowances has been cancelled. The three $50,000 stakes will be run next Saturday night and will be re-drawn tomorrow.

Sunday’s racing has been pushed back until 5:00 PM from the original 1:10 PM post time with track officials closely monitoring the forecast.
